My Introduction Post
My name is Alison and FNED-502 is my third graduate course that I am taking. I am studying to get my Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language. I have been teaching for two years in the Woonsocket Education Department. I am currently teaching in an ESL Self-Contained Classroom at Woonsocket Middle School and I love it!! When I'm not teaching, I tutor and take graduate classes for fun! :)

Hi Alison, I really like your page. The blue makes everything stand out! Well I was reading several blogs from our classmates and they too were taken back at Delpit's comments about the white race. I guess some people are not used to people of color being so honest. For myself, I knew of these issues in the population, but I didn't realize what a problem it was in education. I think Delpit used these story examples in her writing because they are so convincing and true. She just wants people to open their eyes, just like Johnson did in his writing.
